"Kids deserve special places designed just for them"
"After more than eight years in the motor industry, founder Mmakgotso Petja knew it was time for a change — not just in career, but in purpose.
Feeling drained and longing for growth, she took a leap of faith that led to the creation of Tiny Tangles Salon, a kiddies hair salon inspired by a playful moment with her daughter Orapetswe.
The salon's name was sparked by her daughter's messy, charming curls and it captured the light-hearted spirit she wanted her salon to embody.
The salon offers fun, colourful hairstyles for little ones — braids, cornrows, and natural up-dos that are both playful and practical. "They're low-maintenance for parents and comfortable for kids to play and sleep in," she added.
Petja left the security of her corporate job and launched her new venture with no formal beauty background, but plenty of faith. "I entrusted my vision to God, holding on to Proverbs 16:3: 'Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.'"
The business officially opened on what would have been her late mother's birthday, an unplanned but deeply meaningful tribute.
"I may not have formal training, but I have heart, faith, and a mission. Kids deserve special places designed just for them," she concluded."
